August recap

We only made it to five games in August, and two of the games were part of a double-header, so the fact that we got seven lineup cards during the month was pretty good.

We got lineup cards from two new teams in August: the Staten Island Yankees and the York Revolution.  We now have a lineup card for all nine Atlantic League teams over the last two season (including the now defunct Camden River Sharks).

We also got a Harrisburg Senators lineup card from the second game of their double-header with the Yard Goats.  It is smaller than last year’s version, but still one of the best looking lineup cards we’ve gotten.

Biggest Miss: It would have been awesome to get a lineup card from the New York Penn League All Star Game, but Tim Parenton, one of the managers, said he didn’t keep a lineup card for the game.

We did, however, come away with a gamer that included the ASG logo, which was our primary goal for the night.

September will almost certainly be our final month of getting lineup cards in 2016.  We expect to get to a few more minor league games, a couple Major League games and the World Baseball Classic qualifier in Brooklyn, so hopefully the 2016 season will end in climactic fashion.
